Comprehensive Training Programs:

Service Writer Training

We have created a program to bring team members from outside the industry into a career in auto body. The Service Writer Trainee program is comprised of two stages. The first stage is a three-week training program where they are trained in the estimating software, company standard operating procedures, and our management software. The second stage consists of 3-4 months of on the job training with an experienced Service Writer.



Technician Training

Our technicians enter an apprenticeship program as a C level tech and are trained under a journeyman tech until they reach the position of an A level technician. The time it takes to reach level A is dependent upon the employee’s ability to learn and demonstrate a level of skill and knowledge necessary for each level.

G&C also offers other outside training through I-CAR and various material vendors to keep all employees up-to-date with current industry practices.

Mayra Valencia

Mayra Valencia started at G&C in 2009 as a GSR, where she worked for three years in the Santa Rosa office. After her first three years Mayra has become the assistant to the office manager.

Mayra found us on Craigslist and upon the interview found that the benefits combined with the training and opportunity for growth motivated her to become a G&C Employee. She would like to become a service writer someday. Mayra lives in Santa Rosa, is married, and has become a mother during her employment.
