Work for a Company that is working for the Community.
For over 40 years Gene Crozat, founder of G&C Auto Body, has been a resident and business owner in Sonoma County. In all that time Mr. Crozat has constantly been hands on in trying to give back to his community by donating to charity, personally helping needy families get work, housing and food to keep them going. He has personally purchased condos to help house families how had lost their homes due to hardships brought on by job or health related issues. Gene has used his considerable business influence to get other organizations to join him in his mission to seek out those in need and see where they could help. It was after starting a car giveaway program that was advertised on Froggy radio, a local Country radio station, that Gene began to read letters from people within the community that were nominating families to receive cars. These letter touched Gene in such a way that he realized that just giving cars was not enough, he wanted to do more.
In 2014 Gene Crozat founded the “Crozat Family Foundation” to help fulfill his desire to make a difference in his community. The sole purpose of this foundation is to provide privately funded assistance to needy families to help them with, jobs, housing, transportation, food and clothing. Since the opening the foundation has given away 87 cars and help an additional 25 plus families to receive assistance to help get them through their hard times. The Foundation has received cars donated by Enterprise Rentals, GEICO Ins. and others to help in their mission to help the families of Sonoma County. In 2014 the foundation distributed approximately $255,000.00 in cars, gift cards for food or gas, furniture and clothing which grew in 2015 to $438,000.00 and is currently at 58,500.00 for 2016. Most of the money distributed by the foundation comes from a portion of the profits of G&C Auto Body.
In Addition G&C Auto Body does yearly charity drives involving it’s employees and the community such as:
The Human Race, Food Drive for Local food banks, Breast cancer awareness month, Christmas Giving trees, and Bicycle assembly for the Sonoma County Volunteer Center just to name a few.
G&C Auto Body is also a corporate sponsor for Sonoma County Volunteer Center and The Redwood Empire Food Bank.
Training At G&C
G&C offers comprehensive training programs for Service Writers, Office Managers, Guest Service Representatives, General Managers and Technicians. Regardless of your past experience, if you have the right stuff, G&C offers a training program to get you on the path to your career.
All of our Service Writers go through a 4 week training program run by Tara Crozat where they are trained in the different estimating software, and our management software. Additionally they will spend time learning the different components of estimating through hands on training with Tara, the collision techs and refinishing techs in conjunction with using the estimating software. While working with Tara they will also be trained in all of the company SOP’s that relate to their position. After graduation the writer trainees will be placed with a journeyman writer to be mentored until they are ready to go on their own.
Our office managers and GSR’s will go through a similar training process run by Jamie Crozat our regional OM manager. These trainees will be taught the management software, SOP’s and other computer programs.
Our Technicians enter an apprenticeship program as a c level tech and are trained under a journeyman tech until they reach the position of an A level technician. The time it takes to reach level A is dependent upon the employee’s ability to learn and demonstrate a level of skill and knowledge necessary for each level.
G&C also offers other outside training through I-Car and various material vendors to keep all employees up-to-date with current industry practices.
